The Inland Area Kwanzaa Group is a non-profit organization created in 1988 by retired 62nd District Assembly Member - Wilmer Amina Carter and her husband - businessman and honored ancestor, Ratibu Shadidi Jacocks.
About Us / Founders
T he Inland Area Kwanzaa Group (IAKG) has worked actively to promote Kwanzaa and Black / Pan African culture in the Inland Empire since 1988. Founded by longtime area residents Wilmer Amina Carter (retired 62nd District Assembly member) and her husband, Ratibu Shadidi Jacocks – a businessman, organizer, and cherished ancestor – the IAKG continues its mission of advancing Kwanzaa and the Nguzo Saba / the Seven Principles.
